“THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING MOTIVATION AND
LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF MEDICAL EDUCATION STUDENTS
OF FACULTY OF MEDICINE MUHAMMADIYAH MAKASSAR
BACKGROUND : The learning motivation are defined as an encouragement
which leads a person to achieve what is desired, the incentives will create a
behavior to achieve the objective of satisfaction and the student’s achievement is
maximum results which someone achieved after an undertaking activities given to
a specified measurement. The student’s achievement is the result of interactions
among many factors that influence the inside (internal factor) and the outside
(external factor) of individual.
OBJECTIVE : The objective of this study is to identify and analyze The
Relationship between Learning motivation and learning achievement of medical
students of faculty of medicine muhammadiyah Makassar university.
METHODS : The research design of this study is a survey with a cross sectional
analytic study. The populations of this study are the medical students of faculty of
medicine muhammadiyah Makassar University. The total samples are 159 people
with by using total sampling. The instrument of this research is using
questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Chi Square test with SPSS 16.0 for
RESULTS : The result of this study has acquired the majority of students who
have high learning motivation with good achievement ( 45,3 % ).While students
who have low learning motivation with low achievement ( 30.8 ).Through the
trial chi square shows that there is a significant difference between learning
motivation and learning achievement with p = 0,000.
CONCLUSION : This study shows that there is relationship between learning
motivation and learning achievement of medical student of faculty of medicine
Muhammadiyah Makassar University.
