ABSTRACT
Background: The disease dengue fever is an infectious disease is a global health problem, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia has a tropical climate. WHO said the outbreak of dengue fever has now become a major threat to global public health.


Purpose: knowing the broad picture is in the role of environment and behavior on the incidence of dengue cases in the district Minasatene Pangkep.
Material and methods: observational analytic studies using primary data in the form of questionnaires and the design of the study is a cross sectional study.
Result: based on the results of the study that environmental factors variable presence of clean water and shelter where the trash. Besides behavioral factors include variables 3M movements and fogging (fumigation) where all variables must have a value of P <0.05 on the incidence of dengue.
Conclusion : based on the results of the research it is known that there are variables associated with the incidence of dengue is the variable presence of clean water reservoirs, as well as the activity level of knowledge 3M. In addition to the variables that are not associated with the incidence of dengue is the presence of trash and implementation foging (fumigation).
